The island is the home to the historic Kinn church, dating back to the 12th century. The white, stone church was built in the second part of the 12th century. It is the oldest and the only one of its kind in the Sunnfjord region, and it is one of the most impressive medieval monuments in Western Norway. The island was also the centre (and namesake) of the old municipality of Kinn which existed from 1838 until 1964. The island can be reached by ferry from the town of Florø. The Kinnaspelet, a historical play, is performed on the island every summer.

There is something special about what happens close to the ground. Most dont have the time to look down at what nature has created. It all looks like something out of an adventure movie.
